Mattbot is a private assistant used by one household. This page explains what happens to the Google account data it is allowed to see.
What it accesses
Only what its owner approves on Google's consent screen, such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Contacts, and only to do what the owner asks: reading, summarizing, searching, drafting and, with the owner's go-ahead, sending or changing things.
Where the data goes
- The assistant runs on the owner's own home computer, and Google sign-in tokens are stored only there.
- To understand a request and write a reply, the relevant text is sent to the AI service the assistant uses. Nothing else is shared.
- The data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone else.
Google user data
Mattbot's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
The owner can remove Mattbot's access at any time from their Google Account, under Security, then "Your connections to third-party apps & services". The sign-in tokens on the home computer stop working immediately.
